1Who we are

Apyr ("Apyr," "we," "us") is a web application that helps freelancers review contracts. It is operated by Apyr Analytics, based in Missouri, United States. This policy explains what information we handle when you use Apyr and what we do with it.

2What we collect

Account information (stored)

When you create an account, we store your email address and your password. Passwords are stored in hashed form, which means we cannot see or recover your actual password. If you sign in with a third-party account (such as Google), we receive and store the basic identifiers needed to log you in, such as your name and email address.

Your analyses and billing status (stored)

For each review you run we store its title, the analysis (the risk score, summary and findings, which quote short excerpts from your contract), and the date. For billing we store your plan and your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. Stripe handles your card details; we never see or store them.

Technical information (not stored by us)

Like every website, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical details when your browser connects, such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use this information to track you or build a profile of you.

What we do not collect

We do not collect payment card details, precise location, contacts, or any information from other apps on your device. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.

3Your contracts

When you upload or paste a contract, Apyr processes its text only long enough to produce your analysis. We do not save the full contract text. We do save the analysis, which quotes short excerpts from the contract, in your account so you can come back to it. You can delete any review, and with it the saved analysis, from its page at any time. You can also download a copy of the analysis first.

To generate the analysis, the contract text is sent securely to our AI processing provider, OpenAI. That provider processes the text on our behalf under its own commercial terms, which do not permit it to use the content to train its models. If you upload a PDF or photos instead of pasting text, those files go to the same provider so the text can be read from them. We do not keep the files; they are discarded as soon as the text has been read.

Because contracts can contain sensitive personal or business details, we recommend removing information the analysis does not need, such as account numbers or Social Security numbers, before uploading.

4How we use information

We use the information described above only to:

• create and maintain your account and let you log in;
• provide the contract analysis you request;
• keep the service secure and prevent abuse; and
• contact you about your account or important changes to the service.

We do not send marketing email unless you choose to receive it.

5Selling and sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or distribute your personal information to anyone. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

The only times information leaves Apyr are:

• with the service providers listed below, solely so they can run the service for us;
• if we are required to by law, such as a valid subpoena or court order; or
• if Apyr is ever sold or merged, in which case the new owner would be bound by this policy for information already collected, and we would notify you first.

6Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to operate Apyr. They act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes.

7Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you logged in and keep your session secure. We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. If you block cookies in your browser, you will not be able to log in.

8Retention and deletion

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing Apyranalytics@proton.me. We will delete your account information within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep something. We do not keep the full contract text. Saved analyses are kept until you delete them from the review page or ask us to delete your account.

9Security

All connections to Apyr are encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and access to our systems is limited. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but not keeping your full contracts is one of the best protections we can offer: information we never keep cannot be exposed in a breach.

10Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale (we do not sell it). To make any of these requests, email Apyranalytics@proton.me. We will respond within 30 days and will not treat you differently for making a request.

11Children

Apyr is intended for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

12Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, such as beginning to store full contract text, we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
