Terms of Service
Effective October 5, 2026
The short version
- Apyr is a tool to help you understand contracts. It is not a lawyer and does not give legal advice.
- You own what you upload, and we do not keep it.
- The service is provided as is. Check important decisions with a qualified attorney.
1Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Apyr Analytics ("Apyr," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using Apyr, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to use Apyr. If you use it on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that business.
3Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Give us accurate information when you sign up, and tell us promptly at Apyranalytics@proton.me if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
4Apyr is not legal advice
Apyr uses automated tools, including artificial intelligence, to summarize contracts and point out terms you may want to look at more closely. Its output is general information only. It is not legal advice, and using Apyr does not create an attorney-client relationship with anyone.
Automated analysis can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. It may miss important terms, misread language, or not reflect the law where you live. Do not rely on Apyr as your only basis for signing, rejecting, or negotiating a contract. For decisions that matter, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
5Your content
You keep all ownership of the contracts and other material you submit ("Your Content"). You give us a limited permission to process Your Content only as needed to produce your analysis. As described in our Privacy Policy, we do not store Your Content after processing.
By submitting content, you confirm that you have the right to do so. Some contracts include confidentiality clauses; it is your responsibility to make sure that uploading a document for review does not break any obligation you have to another party.
6Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Apyr for anything illegal, or to help plan fraud or other wrongdoing;
- upload material you do not have the right to share, or that contains malware;
- try to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or our systems, or to test their security without our written permission;
- overload, disrupt, scrape, or reverse engineer the service, or use automated means to access it beyond normal use; or
- resell or offer Apyr's output as professional legal services.
7Our property
The Apyr name, logo, website, and software belong to us and are protected by law. These Terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not give you any ownership of it. You may use the analysis results generated for you however you like.
8Availability and changes to the service
Apyr is under active development. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. We may change or discontinue the service at any time. If we shut it down, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
The Pro plan includes up to 10 contract reviews in each billing month. Reviews that are not used do not roll over to the next month. If you use all 10, you can buy single reviews at their normal price until the plan renews. A single review does not expire.
9Disclaimer of warranties
Apyr is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that its analysis will be correct or complete.
10Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business losses, arising from your use of Apyr or from any decision you make based on its output, even if we were told such damages were possible.
Our total liability for any claim relating to Apyr is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.
11Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable attorney fees) that arise from your misuse of Apyr, your violation of these Terms, or content you submit that you did not have the right to share.
12Termination
You can stop using Apyr and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that could harm others or the service. Sections 4, 5, 7, and 9 through 13 continue to apply after your account is closed.
13Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Jackson County, Missouri, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing any claim, both sides agree to first try to resolve the issue informally by contacting the other.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the effective date. If a change is significant, we will notify you by email or in the app. Continuing to use Apyr after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
